summer riding gear

Temperatures here get to 40 Celsius in summer. Anyone have ideas as to what gear is best. I have a Joe Rocket alter ego mesh jacket that is OK but the trousers are pants.

I like Tourmaster mesh pants. Abrasion resistant material protects hip sides & butt, and sides of legs. Pads on hip sides, adjustable armor on knees. Plenty of mesh everywhere else. I ride them (so far) down to ~50F - radiators help me keep warm on cooler days.

They come with two liners 1) a water/wind proof shell and 2) a heavy insulating layer I've never used. Also short/normal/long lengths. I usually wear them over shorts, and carry loafers to change from riding boots.

summer survival gear and tactics

Florida gets hot and humid, a lot of both! I use a Dianese mesh jacket that fits my G1 back protector, and some short summer Dianese gloves. Olympia makes well-protected Cordura and leather pants that have zip-down front panels which work for me in temps from 40 on up, and come with a rain-pant that fits inside or out! And I like 1 size larger Sidi perforated boots for air-flow. Also, I remove the windscreen on my DiavelStrada. Finally, I stay the hell out of town!
