6th gear cruising

Wanted to say hello to the diavel community. Question? I recently test rode a 2015 Carbon diavel but didn't have a chance to see. My question is how is the cruising speed at 55-65 mph in 6th gear? I'm coming from a Harley fatboy I rode for 8 years and I joyed the 6th gear cruising speed. I'm I going to get the same type of cruising from the diavel?

I Ride: Diavel Strada
bverzinskie, at 65 mph 4th gear is the top! I stick it in 5th if I'm over 70. Ducs like the high rpm's and hate the low ones. I traded my Streetglide for a Diavel Strada and love it! In 6th gear at 55-65 you'll hate it because the bike will too....

Thumbs up

With a proper tune they will cruise in 6th at 55 no problem. Mine was a shaking mess at any RPM below 4000 and didn't run that great above 4000 ether but was usable. But now it will cruise all the way down to 2500. Emission regs have them so leaned out they do not run as Ducati designed them to run. You have to get a tune (as with a full Termi) or a tuner and richen them back up. Any slip on without a tune to en-richen the fueling will make it worse and you will hate your new exhaust. Get a tuner 1st and keep your stock exhaust and you will love it and be set for more tuning when you do get a aftermarket exhaust.

Just my two cents

Beeman your right ... I installed a rapid bike evo on my diavel and its like a new bike .... No more shakes at any gear and Rpm .... Faster response .... I agree that it is the first thing to do .... Diavel has an huge moat on 4000/5000 rpm due to emission demands

6th gear cruising

Here goes a print of the running chart of the diavel 2015 with before and after tuning ... The power here is measured at the wheel

Black before and red after ... Result a better bike, smoother, fast and accurate on the throttle with a few hp more
