Why the Diavel?

Why the Diavel?

What was it about the Diavel that you made you say, I need one of these!

I Ride: Diavel
Took the test drive. Felt the acceleration as I left the dealership for two blocks. I looked over at the salesman and said, "You know you just sold this one, right?" Took it home the next day. I only realized there was a Diavel three days prior. This all occurred this past August.

why not?

This was the bike I've been waiting for. I looked at the Streetfighter when it was released, but found I liked it better in pics, and it was still a fairly radical riding position. I rode Ninjas before this (500, ZX6, ZX10), and found the riding position was no longer agreeing with me. I loved the Diavel from the very first photos, though I couldn't help but wonder how it would look in the "flesh". It was March (winter up here) when the dealer got one in...the Carbon...all black...I knew she was mine! I had never thrown a leg over a Ducati, this bike fit like a glove. I'd always heard about the torque of the L-twins, but I was biased to the in-line 4. I bought it without a test ride, and was, and still am blown away by the engine. The fun this bike offers should be illegal! Not many vehicles will touch it in a drag race (I have yet to be had) though they try! The stopping power is incredible, the handling is dreamy, and it's VERY comfortable on top of all this. Worth every hard earned penny!

I am a cruiser/bagger kind. I rode an FXR Harley for years, with the lower to the ground feel, plus it fit my statue better since I am shorter than the average rider. This was the only style that was close to a cruiser. Ducati says FINE ART. It says Rare FINE ART. It is a reflection of my taste and attitude. Passionate, Unique, Masculine, Art. It's real "PUMA Meat".

I went into my dealership interested in the Panigale. I took it for a ride and I was reminded why I had sold my sport bike for a cruiser in the past. I took the Diavel out for a ride and within 5 minutes I knew this was the bike for me!

I'm a fairly new rider with about 2 years of experience. My confidence in handling a bike shot through the roof on the Diavel.

Also, the uniqueness of the Diavel's design with the blue and white.... gorgeous!

I Ride: Triumph Bonneville, Ducati Diavel
First of all it's a Ducati. I like the form of the bike from every angle. It's ground breaking and ahead of it's time. A category of it's own. I like exclusivity and this bike has it.

I was looking to buy a sport cruiser and thank God a friend told me to check out a Diavel. If I would've purchased anything else, I would've took a bath on a trade. And trust me I would not have stopped until the Diavel was mine.

I liked the riding position, power delivery and unique look.

I switched my body paneling to matte carbon and my buddy has the same bike in the shiny carbon and mine gets way more looks.

Plus the thing can turn.

I'd like to be comfortable when I kill myself on this missile. haha. I've wanted a ducati for a long time but just couldn't find the right bike that just fit. Until this one. They others look nice but to ride them anywhere other than a track and they are wasted and become uncomfortable very fast. This bike suits all my requests.

Ducati is the only brand of bike for me, i'm a bit one eyed i guess and i was looking at one at a dealer, the sales guy asked what i thought and i wasn't complimentary, looked cool but how could ducati build a cruiser? it won't handle! look at that rear tyre, ridiculous!

take it for a ride i'm told, ok, i will.

one hour later i was back and i plonked down my deposit there and then, i LOVE this bike!

and i really love that people can't pigeon hole it, they don't understand it, which reminds me of when i bought my first monster in '93, very similar reactions to that bike too.
